Weaver is a story-planning app for fiction writers. It helps you track characters, locations, events, timelines, and relationships — everything you need to keep a complex story organized. Manage as many stories as you like, each with its own cast, world, and timeline. You can also export a Story Bible: a formatted reference document of your entire story world.

Weaver will be available on iOS (iPhone and iPad), Android, and web — all at launch.

All your story data is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to a server. This means your stories are completely private, but it also means if you delete the app, your data goes with it — so use the backup export feature regularly.

Yes. Since data is stored locally on each device, your stories don't sync automatically. You can use the backup export/import feature to move your data between devices. Backups are fully compatible across iOS, Android, and web.

Go to Settings in the app and tap Export Backup. This creates a file containing all your stories, characters, locations, events, and relationships. You can import this file on any device running Weaver.

On mobile (iOS/Android), your data will be lost unless you exported a backup first. On web, your data persists in browser storage unless you clear site data.
